The Oyo State Police Command recently made a shocking announcement regarding the arrest of Muyideen Raimi for the gruesome act of exhuming and decapitating his late cousin, Sulaiman Aromokun. Along with an accomplice who is currently at large, Raimi dug up his cousin’s corpse from the Aromokun compound in Isale Ijebu, Ibadan.
During a parade at the command headquarters in Eleyele, Ibadan, the Commissioner of Police confirmed the arrest, stating that Raimi was apprehended with the severed head and confessed to the crime. He implicated an accomplice named Sumaila, also known as Baba Ibeji, who is now on the run. Their motive was to use the skull for a money ritual, as per Raimi’s confession.
In a separate case, ritualist Muhammad Adekunle was also paraded by the Police Command for allegedly killing and selling human body parts in Ibadan. Adekunle, along with several others, conspired to commit heinous acts for ritual purposes. The investigation is ongoing, with more updates to follow as it progresses.
