MAGURA V5 drones target 18 Russian vessels in 18 months

In a stunning display of innovation and determination, Ukrainian scouts have successfully damaged 18 Russian vessels in just 18 months using the locally-made MAGURA V5 unmanned maritime drones. According to the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), these drones have been a game-changer in their operations.

In an interview with Deutsche Welle, the commander of the Group 13 special intelligence unit revealed that Russia’s once formidable Black Sea Fleet in Crimea has been rendered ineffective, with its modern equipment removed and its functions severely impaired.

The MAGURA V5 drone, with a range of over 800 kilometers, a speed of 80 km/h, and a powerful warhead weighing 250 kg, has proven to be a formidable weapon. Rather than relying on a single strike, Ukrainian scouts strategically deploy these drones in packs, ensuring critical damage to large ships.

Ukrainians have rallied behind their scouts, raising funds to purchase more MAGURA V5 drones for their arsenal. The success of these drones showcases the resilience and ingenuity of Ukraine in the face of adversity.
