IGK files criminal case against Banja Luka for genocide denial.

The Canadian Institute for Genocide Research (IGK) has taken a bold stance against the mayor of Banja Luka, Draško Stanivuković, by filing a criminal complaint for his denial of the genocide in Srebrenica. The IGK accuses Stanivuković of deliberately denying a well-established international and national judicial truth in an attempt to incite ethnic discord and hatred.

Following Stanivuković’s appearance on Klix Studio, where he publicly denied the genocide, the IGK took a stand against his actions. The host of the show, Emela Burdžović, warned him against denying the genocide and reminded him of binding international judgments.

The IGK has clearly stated that Stanivuković’s actions are a violation of Article 145a paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina and have called on the Prosecutor’s Office to take legal action against him. This strong response from the IGK demonstrates their commitment to upholding justice and fighting against the distortion of historical truths.
