NATO Chairman Reveals More than 500,000 Troops on High Alert
In a recent interview with the PAP agency, Chairman of NATO’s Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, disclosed that over 500,000 military personnel from NATO countries are currently on high alert. The Alliance has been implementing intricate defense plans since the Cold War, with ongoing active testing and improvements.
Notably, an agreement has been made to enhance Poland’s air and missile defenses, including the establishment of a new Aegis Ashore missile defense base. Admiral Bauer emphasized the necessity to bolster the already formidable alliance further.
Despite the heightened readiness and defense measures, NATO reassures that there is no perceived threat of an attack on any member country. The Alliance remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding the security and stability of its members.
With a robust military presence and continuous efforts to enhance defense capabilities, NATO continues to uphold its position as the strongest alliance in the world.
