The Iranian Army’s Air Defense Force Unveils New Indigenous Equipment

In a recent announcement, Brigadier General Ali Reza Sabahifard, commander of the Iranian Army’s Air Defense Force, highlighted the significant achievements made by the force in enhancing Iran’s defense capabilities. He emphasized the role of the Air Defense Force in ensuring national security and revealed that new defense equipment will soon be unveiled.

On August 7, the Air Defense Force in eastern Iran showcased its latest indigenous radar, missile, and drone systems. This event was attended by Brigadier General Sabahifard, who underscored the force’s commitment to strengthening its capabilities to address evolving threats.

Deputy Commander Alireza Elhami also mentioned plans to introduce ground-based equipment and advanced missile systems with extended ranges. He emphasized the force’s self-sufficiency and readiness to defend Iran’s air borders without relying on foreign technology.

The Air Defense Force continues to enhance its drone, radar, and information-gathering systems, demonstrating its preparedness to respond to various challenges. The force is gearing up to welcome new equipment during Air Defense Week, further showcasing its dedication to safeguarding Iran’s airspace.
