Iran Navy Commander: Saving Sahand Frigate a Milestone成功

An Iranian Navy admiral addressed graduates from the Supreme National Defense University and the Army’s University of Command and Staff, highlighting the successful operation to save the Sahand vessel last month. The operation, which usually takes two months according to foreign estimates, was completed by the Iranian Navy in just ten days without any damage or incidents. This achievement provided valuable insights in logistics, engineering, and technology.

The admiral emphasized the importance of continuously upgrading naval equipment and facilities to strengthen Iran’s naval capabilities. Sahand, undergoing repairs on July 7, faced a critical situation when water leaked into its tanks, causing it to lose balance and roll onto its side. The successful rescue operation showcased the Navy’s expertise and readiness.

With a commitment to innovation and advancement, the Iranian Navy is focused on enhancing its capabilities to ensure maritime security and defense.
