However, assistance remains minimal, with only youth initiatives providing aid. The ongoing war between feuding parties is exacerbating the crisis, with crucial maintenance work left undone due to the murder of the governor.
The destruction of infrastructure has further isolated the population, hindering the delivery of humanitarian aid. The collapse of bridges and flooded crossings have made it difficult for relief supplies to reach those in need. With hospitals operating at limited capacity and severe shortages of healthcare workers and supplies, the people of Darfur are facing a dire situation.
