The Hadramout Tribal Alliance has announced a new escalation in their efforts to establish a camp at the eastern gate of Hadramout province in eastern Yemen.
The head of the “Defense and Security Department” of the Hadramout General Conference, Mohammed Ali Al-Jariri, stated that the camp will be set up in the Bashar Al-Mashqas area of Raydah district, and tribesmen are expected to gather there in support of their goals and demands.
The Tribal Alliance aims to recruit 20,000 young men from the tribes to form the Hadramout Defense Forces and secure the region’s oil facilities in Wadi districts. There are also plans to potentially close the international road connecting Hadramout and the Sultanate of Oman as part of their actions.
Their main demands include fair access to the revenues from the oil wealth of Hadramout, ensuring development, and improving living conditions for the residents who have been affected by poverty and famine.
The Tribal Alliance urges the Hadramout tribes to unite and support these initiatives to reclaim their rights and assert their will on their land.
