BRS Working President K T Rama Rao has faced criticism for his remarks on the Congress government’s free travel scheme for women in RTC buses, with Telangana Minister D Anasuya slamming his comments.

Rao mentioned that the BRS would not object to women engaging in activities like knitting while on buses, emphasizing the need to avoid conflicts and maintain order.

In response, Minister Anasuya demanded an apology from BRS and Rao for their inappropriate comments regarding women in Telangana.

Additionally, Telangana State Women’s Commission chairperson Nerella Sharada expressed concern over the derogatory nature of Rao’s remarks and initiated an inquiry into the matter.
