Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee sends Independence day greetings to all

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee celebrated the 78th Independence Day by hoisting the tricolour at Red Road in Kolkata. She also awarded medals to four IPS officers for their exceptional services.

During the event, Banerjee oversaw the march past of various army and police regiments. The day was filled with colorful tableaux highlighting the achievements of state government departments and key projects, as well as performances by school children.

In a tweet, Banerjee extended her warm wishes, “Happy Independence Day to all my brothers and sisters! Our freedom fighters sacrificed everything to earn this freedom. On this historic day, I pay my deepest respect to them for their selfless love for the motherland.”

It was a day of pride and patriotism, with Banerjee leading the celebrations and honoring the heroes who fought for the nation’s independence.
