US to Cool down Conflict in Middle East

The US is taking steps to ease tensions in the Middle East in response to fears of a potential Iranian attack on Israel, according to the country’s ambassador to the UN. Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield emphasized the importance of deterring attacks, avoiding regional conflict, and finalizing a ceasefire deal. The goal is to reduce hostilities and prevent further escalation in the region.

However, the Palestinian ambassador criticized the UN Security Council for not doing enough to address Israel’s military actions in Gaza. In response, the Israeli ambassador defended his country’s efforts to minimize civilian casualties and accused Hamas of using human shields. He also called out the Security Council for failing to condemn Iran’s actions.

It is crucial for all parties involved to work towards peace and stability in the region. The US remains committed to reducing tensions and promoting dialogue to achieve lasting peace in the Middle East.
