Lithuanian Defense Minister Laurynas Kasčiūnas shared intelligence with Zelensky, revealing that Russia is redeploying troops from Kaliningrad to combat the Ukrainian forces in Kursk. Lithuania is set to send a package to Kyiv including air defense systems, armored vehicles, and anti-drone equipment.
The incursion received widespread support, including a significant aid package of €4.2 billion from the European Union under the Ukraine Facility program. The EU has provided over €12 billion in non-lethal aid to Ukraine thus far, emphasizing the importance of meeting democratic benchmarks for continued support.
The loss of Ukrainian pilot Captain Oleksandr Myhulia in combat was also reported, with the city of Mena mourning the hero’s sacrifice. Myhulia, awarded the prestigious Order for Courage medal, was among the brave individuals recognized for their exceptional courage and heroism.
US Assistant Secretary of State Jim O’Brien visited Kyiv to discuss NATO membership, air defense, and the F-16 program, underscoring continued US support for Ukraine’s defense efforts.
