The data from Opendatabot revealed that over 3,000 companies with foreign owners have been established in Ukraine since the 2022 invasion. The top countries represented in these new businesses are Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Poland. US citizens also make up a significant portion of these companies.
Many of these foreign-owned businesses are located in Kyiv, Lviv, and Odesa regions, with wholesale trade being the most popular industry for these companies. Interestingly, the report did not include defense or arms manufacturing in its findings.
One notable business opened by foreigners during this time is “TENS1MA” with a capital of Hr.1.28 billion ($31 million), owned by an Armenian citizen. This data provides insight into the evolving business landscape in Ukraine amidst challenging geopolitical circumstances.
