NPA revives aspirant prosecutor project, offers opportunities to law graduates

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has exciting news for law graduates! The aspirant prosecutor programme is back for 2025 after a brief hiatus in 2024 due to budget cuts. This programme has been a crucial stepping stone for over 1,000 graduates in the past, offering valuable training and career opportunities.

Bulelwa Makeke, the NPA’s acting deputy director-general of corporate services, shared her enthusiasm for the programme’s return. With improvements in the NPA’s budget, contracts will now be offered to aspirants, helping to fill vacancies in district court posts.

For the 2024 intake, the NPA plans to recruit 80 aspirants with a focus on priority areas. The advertisement for the 2025 intake will be released on August 16, with training scheduled to begin on March 1, 2025. Aspiring candidates should stay tuned to the NPA’s channels for more information on the application process and programme details.
