The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has opened up student loan applications to an additional 22 state-owned tertiary institutions, bringing the total number of institutions students can apply from to 108.
Through its online portal, NELFUND is allowing students from newly approved institutions to submit loan applications. The decision comes after a review by the Student Verification System committee.
The newly cleared institutions include well-known names like Abia State University, Delta State University, and Rivers State University, among others. Previously, institutions like Benue State University, Lagos State University, and Olabisi Onabanjo University were already approved for student loans.
This initiative aims to support students financially and make quality education more accessible. By expanding the list of eligible institutions, NELFUND is providing more students with the opportunity to pursue their academic goals without financial constraints.
