Keeping Lagos Clean: Government Begins Clean-Up of Ojodu-Berger Median

In a bid to tackle the issue of open defecation and maintain hygiene standards, the Lagos State Government has taken action to clean up the Ojodu-Berger median. The defaced area, which has been a cause of concern due to unhygienic practices, is finally receiving attention from government officials.

A video shared by the state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, showcased the efforts being made to restore cleanliness to the Ojodu-Berger median. This initiative serves as a warning to those who engage in the illegal and unsanitary act of defecating in public spaces.

The median along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway has long been plagued by open defecation, with reports of miscreants littering the area with faeces. This has not only been an eyesore but also a health hazard for residents and pedestrians who frequent the location.
