Iran’s President-Elect Plans to Develop Jump Jets and AI-Driven Drone Swarms

Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, the nominee for Iran’s Ministry of Defense, has presented his plan to enhance the country’s defense sector to parliament.

Currently serving as the deputy chief of staff of the Armed Forces, Nasirzadeh proposed further development in aerial and naval warfare capabilities, missile technology, air defense, and aerospace divisions. He suggested the design of “jump jets” for Air Force enhancement, as well as the use of AI in drone operations for swarm flights.

Nasirzadeh also recommended the acquisition of technology for multi-mission destroyers and high-speed vessels for missile launches. In the missile sector, he emphasized the need to produce various types of missiles to meet the country’s defense needs.

Additionally, Nasirzadeh plans to improve Iran’s space technology by launching more satellites into orbit and increase defense exports through diplomacy with neighboring and Latin American countries. Despite sanctions, Iran remains committed to enhancing its military capabilities for defensive purposes, as directed by Ayatollah Khamenei.
