The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ondo State is seeking support from stakeholders to reduce highway crashes. Dr. Samuel Ibitoye, the new Sector Commander, emphasized the importance of collaboration in ensuring road safety for all users. He aims to work closely with the government, unions, and the public to address road safety challenges.
With a background in national headquarters policy, Ibitoye brings a wealth of experience to his new role in Ondo State. He stressed the need for collective responsibility in managing road safety and emphasized the role of stakeholders in reducing accidents on Nigerian roads.
Furthermore, Ibitoye highlighted key issues such as underage driving and overloading as critical offenses that contribute to road accidents. He urged parents and guardians to prevent underage driving and motorists to avoid overloading vehicles for the safety of all road users.
The FRSC remains committed to promoting safe, passable roads and seeks the cooperation of all stakeholders in achieving this goal.
