In a recent interview with PTI, senior Congress leader Ramesh Hooda discussed the strategy of the I.N.D.I.A. bloc for state elections, emphasizing that there is no fixed formula to follow. The grouping will join forces in states where there is agreement among Congress leaders and alliance partners.
Hooda highlighted the issues of the Agnipath military recruitment scheme and legal guarantee for minimum support price (MSP) for crops in Haryana. He expressed concerns about the impact of the Agniveer scheme on ex-servicemen and the decrease in armed forces selections.
Furthermore, Hooda underscored the importance of providing a legal guarantee for MSP to ensure sustainable income for farmers. He also outlined the guarantees provided by the Haryana Congress, including increasing old-age pension, bringing back the old pension scheme, and creating job opportunities through investments.
Hooda criticized the current BJP-JJP government in Haryana, labeling it as a “thug bandan” and claiming that people are ready for a change in leadership. He emphasized the need for improved law and order and increased investments to stimulate job creation in the state.
