During the National Council of State meeting, former Nigerian leaders passed a vote of confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s leadership and pledged to resist any unconstitutional change of government. The meeting, which included President Buhari and former President Jonathan, focused on economic progress and governance under President Tinubu’s leadership.
Addressing the media, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and Minister Dele Alake praised Tinubu’s governance and commitment to upholding democracy. They emphasized that any change of government must occur through the ballot.
Meanwhile, youth leader Comrade Jude Imagwe criticized former President Buhari’s policies, alleging that they set Nigeria back economically. Human rights activist Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa called for a review of government economic policies to address hunger and reduce protests.
Adegboruwa highlighted the need for clear protest objectives and effective leadership to prevent infiltration. He urged the government to enhance intelligence and response systems to prevent violence and promote dialogue.
