Azerbaijan and Turkey Discuss Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence
Azerbaijan and Turkey recently met to explore opportunities for collaboration in artificial intelligence. The Minister of Digital Development and Transportation of Azerbaijan, Rashad Nabiyev, and the Chairman of the Defense Industry Committee of Turkey, Haluk Gorgun, discussed potential partnerships in information and communication technologies, space industry, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
The two countries agreed to implement training programs in Azerbaijan and organize events to exchange expertise between specialists. Azerbaijan is in the process of approving its National Strategy on Artificial Intelligence this year.
In the first half of 2024, Azerbaijan’s information and communication sector saw a 12.2% increase, providing services worth 1.618 billion manat or $951.76 million.
