Ukraine Denies Interest in Russian Territory, Focuses on Self-Defense

Ukraine made it clear on Tuesday that they have no intentions of taking over territory in Russia’s border region of Kursk. The incursion launched by Kyiv last week caused mass evacuations in multiple border regions, but Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry spokesman emphasized that their goal is to protect the lives of their people, not to claim territory.

Despite Russia’s aggression towards Ukraine, Kyiv lacks the capabilities to launch long-range strikes for protection. As a result, Ukraine has taken necessary measures to liberate border areas from Russian forces and prevent further attacks.

Ukraine’s cross-border actions are justified as self-defense measures under the UN Charter. President Zelenskyy condemned Russia’s provocation and the war brought to Ukrainian land, highlighting the importance of protecting Ukraine’s territory from Russian strikes.

The tension between Ukraine and Russia continues to escalate, with both sides accusing each other of aggression. Ukraine remains focused on defending its borders and preserving the safety of its citizens.
