Troops eliminate five terrorists, 44 surrender in Borno.

Troops Neutralize Five Terrorists in Borno State

No fewer than five terrorists were killed by Nigerian Army troops in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State during a counter-terrorism operation on August 12, 2024. In addition to neutralizing the terrorists, the troops recovered bombs, a Rocket Propel Gun, and six motorcycles.

Furthermore, 44 Boko Haram terrorists and their families surrendered to troops deployed in Bama, Dikwa, and Gwoza Local Government Areas of Borno State. The Nigerian Army also successfully arrested a notorious cattle rustler in Plateau State, Maawuya Shuaibu, recovering 32 rustled cows from him.

In other operations, troops conducted raids in Bayelsa State, resulting in the arrest of Mr Donald Emason and the recovery of weapons. Additionally, in Oyo State, a suspected gun runner, Mohammed Bello, was apprehended, confessing to supplying arms to a kidnap syndicate.
