The Nigeria Police High Command recently hosted a groundbreaking Youth Summit at the Police Resource Centre in Abuja, engaging young people from all six geo-political zones in discussions on the importance of avoiding violence. Commemorating the United Nations International Youth Day, the summit aimed to promote youth inclusivity in national security efforts and address challenges facing the nation.
Notable attendees included President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, represented by the Minister of Youth Development, as well as various government officials and youth leaders. The keynote speaker, Prof. Lanre Fagbohun, emphasized the role of youth in national security and called for reward systems and sponsorship programs to encourage their development.
IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun reiterated his belief in Nigerian youth and their contribution to national security and sustainable development. The summit highlighted the importance of engaging young minds to shape the nation’s future and create a generation of leaders and change-makers.
