Ogun offers N500,000 and N10m grants to empower business-oriented youths

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has exciting news for the youth in the state. He announced plans for the Ogun Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurial Programme (OGYES), which will provide grants ranging from N500,000 to N10 million to business-oriented young people.

During the Remo International Youth Day event, Governor Abiodun highlighted the importance of supporting young entrepreneurs and empowering them with the necessary capital to grow their businesses. In addition to grants, the state government will offer interest-free digital loans and training in digital skills and vocational areas.

The governor emphasized the need for youth involvement in addressing challenges like climate change and food shortages. He revealed plans to establish the Ogun Youth Agricultural Programme and provide technical and vocational training to youths in Remoland.

This initiative aims to transform the food system and empower the youth to become experts in various fields like construction, ICT, and agriculture. Governor Abiodun urged young people to embrace hard work and avoid laziness, emphasizing the importance of innovative solutions for human and planetary health.
