Israeli forces destroy Gaza buildings to establish buffer zone – Reports

In recent events, Palestinian fighters targeted Israeli forces in the Netzarim Corridor, while Israeli combat engineers created a buffer zone, leading to intense fighting in the region.

The buffer zone, estimated to span 4 kilometers, was reported by the Institute for the Study of War and the Critical Threats Project. In southern Khan Younis, Palestinian Islamic Jihad launched a minefield at Israeli forces, and Hamas targeted an Israeli tank in Rafah.

Additionally, Palestinian fighters used sniper rifles and rocket-propelled grenades against Israeli troops. At least three rockets were launched from Gaza towards Israeli areas, according to US-based defense think tanks.

The situation in Gaza is dire, with an Egyptian-American physician describing it as the worst he has seen in his 30-year career, noting a high death rate in Gaza hospitals. The official death toll in Gaza is nearing 40,000, with thousands more wounded since the conflict began.

The Ministry of Health reported 32 Palestinians killed and 88 wounded in the last 24 hours, highlighting the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the region.
