Jamaat Islami Chief Vows to Hold Government Accountable
In a recent statement to the media, Jamaat Islami Chief, Hafiz Naeem, expressed determination to ensure the government fulfills its agreement with the party. Naeem highlighted the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab and the financial struggles faced by the majority of Pakistan’s population.
He criticized the costly RLNG agreements that have negatively impacted the economy and warned about potential repercussions of violating contracts with IPPs. Naeem also addressed the border smuggling issue, emphasizing the significant losses incurred by Pakistan.
Noting the lack of honesty in governance, Naeem pledged to mobilize peaceful protests with support from traders’ associations if the government fails to honor its commitments. He emphasized the importance of holding the ruling class accountable and ensuring the implementation of agreed-upon measures for the betterment of the country.
