Government of Western Equatoria State Issues Ultimatum to Absent Ministers
The Government of Western Equatoria State has taken a firm stand against absenteeism by giving three state ministers a one-week ultimatum to report to their duty stations. The directive, issued by Governor Alfred Futuyo Karaba to Cabinet Affairs Minister Charles Barayona during the State Council of Ministers meeting, aims to address the prolonged absence of the ministers.
The three ministers in question, William Baiki, Wilson John Ada, and Christopher Benjamin, have been residing in Juba for several months without attending to their official duties. The state’s information minister, Isaac Mursal, highlighted the need for the ministers to return to their offices as important work has been put on hold due to their absence.
Despite efforts to contact the ministers for their response, they remained unreachable. This ultimatum serves as a reminder to all government officials about the importance of fulfilling their responsibilities and actively contributing to the progress and development of the state.
