The US State Department announced a few days ago that the White House was set to provide Israel with $3.5 billion to purchase American weapons and military equipment.
The UN’s Special Rapporteur on Palestine, Francesca Albanese, expressed concerns over the escalating US funding of Israeli military operations, highlighting the use of lethal bombs by the Israeli army. Following a recent massacre at the Tabaeen School in Gaza City, where over 100 people were killed, Albanese condemned the brutality of the bombing.
Describing the aftermath of the attack, she stated that the victims were unrecognizable due to the devastating impact of the bombs. CNN confirmed the use of GBU39 small-diameter bombs in the strike, underscoring the severity of the situation.
Albanese criticized the ongoing violence in Gaza, labeling it as a “shameful concentration camp” and accusing Israel of committing genocide against Palestinians with the support of Western nations. The staggering death toll and displacement of civilians in Gaza further emphasize the dire humanitarian crisis unfolding in the region.
