Suspects accused of robbing German tourist tied to 28s gang.

Four alleged members of the 28s gang have been arrested in connection with the robbery of German tourist Nick Frischke, who disappeared on February 15, 2023. The accused, Ishaam Fischer, Melvin Geunantin, Vanroy Petersen, and Carlo Geunantin, appeared in court facing charges including robbery, housebreaking, possession of firearms, and ammunition. A fifth individual, Jason Abrahams, had his charges withdrawn due to lack of evidence.

The state presented a summary of facts linking the accused to the 28s gang, operating in the Hout Bay area. Frischke’s belongings were found in possession of the accused, but he remains missing despite confessions. The case was postponed to August 13 for further proceedings.
