MQM-P Threatens to Quit Coalition Over Governor Issue
The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), a key ally of PML-N, has issued a warning to quit the ruling coalition if promises made during the power sharing agreement are not fulfilled. Senior MQM-P leader Farooq Sattar emphasized that the retention of Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori is non-negotiable, and any attempt to remove him would lead to severe consequences.
The MQM-P expressed disappointment over government decisions and highlighted a breach of trust in the potential replacement of Tessori. Despite Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar denying rumors of Tessori’s removal, tensions remain high as discussions between the PPP and PML-N continue regarding the Sindh governorship.
As speculations circulate, the MQM-P stands firm in its stance, warning of repercussions if their demands are not met. The political landscape in Karachi is fraught with uncertainty as the coalition faces a potential rift over the governor issue.
