The IDF and Shin Bet have identified 12 more Hamas terrorists who were killed in the bombing of the Tabeen school complex in central Gaza City. This brings the total number of terrorists killed in the attack to 31, as 19 had been previously named. The bombing faced international criticism over claims that civilians were sheltering in the compound, with reports of around 100 people killed.
The IDF stated that Hamas and the Islamic Jihad were using the school and its mosque as a command center for launching attacks. The military emphasized that precautions were taken to minimize civilian casualties by using precision munitions with reduced warheads and gathering accurate intelligence.
The IDF condemned Hamas for violating international law and using civilians as human shields for their terror activities. The military stated that the damage caused by the bombing was not as severe as claimed by the Hamas-run Government Information Office in Gaza.
