Hezbollah retaliated against Israel by firing Katyusha rockets at the headquarters of the 146th Division in Giaton. This response was triggered by Israel’s attacks on civilian areas in southern Lebanon and in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza. The rocket launch resulted in explosions heard as far as Nahariya and Haifa, with over 30 rockets reportedly aimed towards northern Israel.
Israeli media confirmed the attack, stating that their Iron Dome system failed to intercept most of the rockets. This strike followed Hezbollah’s previous drone, rocket, and missile attacks on Israeli bases. One such attack targeted a military base where Israeli soldiers were gathered, while another hit the Malikiyah base, causing significant damage to enemy spy facilities.
Escalating tensions between Hezbollah and Israel have led to frequent exchanges of fire along Lebanon’s border with Israel since the start of the conflict in Gaza. The conflict shows no signs of abating as both sides continue their military engagement.
