Gaza survivors remember deadly Israeli attack on school mosque

Zainab al-Jabri, an 80-year-old Palestinian woman, tragically lost her two sons and their children in an Israeli air strike at a school in Gaza City. The attack targeted a prayer hall where dozens of people were gathered for the dawn prayer. This devastating incident left more than 100 Palestinians dead, including children and elderly individuals seeking refuge from the ongoing conflict.

The Israeli military claimed the prayer hall housed a “military facility” and labeled 31 of the victims as “terrorists.” However, investigations by human rights monitors revealed inaccuracies in the military’s list of casualties, including the deaths of civilians, such as a school principal and a university professor.

Survivors, like Rebhi Naser, who lost 10 family members in the attack, are calling for international recognition of their humanity and an end to the violence and loss they have endured. The world’s condemnation of Israel’s actions in Gaza highlights the urgent need for peace and justice in the region.
