The Federal Government is intensifying efforts to combat certification fraud in educational institutions in neighbouring countries to protect the credibility of Nigeria’s educational certificates globally. Minister of State for Education, Tanko Sununu, reassured this commitment during a meeting with the National Association of Nigerian Students Diaspora, addressing concerns about scholarship accessibility and certification racketeering.
Sununu highlighted measures to streamline scholarship processes and tackle challenges faced by Nigerian students abroad. The government is working towards ensuring deserving students receive the necessary support for their studies and combating fraudulent practices in countries like Benin Republic and Togo.
The Liaison Officer for Diaspora Student Affairs emphasized the government’s dedication to transparent communication with Nigerian students abroad, aiming to address their challenges and ensure academic and professional success.
