EU’s Borrell Condemns Israel’s Call to Cut Humanitarian Aid to Gaza
EU’s foreign policy chief Josep Borrell has criticized Israel’s Minister of National Security for advocating to halt humanitarian aid to Gaza, calling it an “incitement to war crimes.” Borrell stressed the importance of supporting a ceasefire in Gaza and urged the Israeli government to distance themselves from such statements.
Earlier, Ben-Gvir, the Israeli Minister, insisted on cutting off aid until all abductees were returned and encouraged the occupation of Gaza. Amidst the conflict, Israel continues to face international condemnation for its actions in Gaza, with a staggering death toll and severe humanitarian crisis affecting the region.
While the World pushes for a ceasefire in #Gaza, Min. Ben Gvir calls for cutting fuel & aid to civilians.
Like Min. Smotrich sinister statements, this is an incitement to war crimes. Sanctions must be on our EU agenda.
I support UN @Volker_Turk in his strong condamnations. 1/2
