Special Judge Kaveri Baweja allowed the CBI time till August 27 to secure necessary sanctions after being told that they were yet to be received from the authorities concerned
A Delhi court granted the CBI 15 days to obtain the sanctions to prosecute Arvind Kejriwal and AAP MLA Durgesh Pathak in a corruption case related to an alleged excise scam.
Judge Kaveri Baweja allowed the agency time till August 27 to secure necessary sanctions after being told they were yet to be received. The CBI had earlier secured sanctions to investigate them.
Pathak, a senior member of AAP’s political affairs committee, is considered very close to Kejriwal. The judge had extended Kejriwal’s judicial custody till August 20.
