A tragic plane crash near Sao Paulo, Brazil resulted in the recovery of all 62 victims by Brazilian emergency crews. The aircraft, operated by regional carrier Voepass, crashed in the town of Vinhedo, with no survivors.
Males and females aboard the flight have been identified, with four of them having dual citizenship – three Venezuelans and one Portuguese woman. The bodies of the pilot and co-pilot were also recovered and identified.
Authorities are utilizing various methods, including seat assignments and personal belongings, to identify the victims. Relatives have provided DNA samples to aid in the process.
The ATR-72 turboprop aircraft was en route to Sao Paulo from Cascavel when it crashed, with no casualties on the ground. The black box data is being analyzed to determine the cause of the tragedy.
ATR, a prominent producer of regional turboprop planes, is assisting with the investigation. The air force confirmed that there were no distress calls from the pilots prior to the crash.
