The recent bombing of the Action People’s Party (APP) Rivers State Chapter Secretariat has been condemned by the National Chairman, Barr Uchenna Nnadi, as a “heinous act of terrorism” and “treasonable act.” Despite the attack occurring after a strategic meeting, no lives were lost, for which Nnadi thanked God.
Nnadi alleged a larger plot by individuals aiming to seize the treasury of Rivers State to undermine the governor’s plans for local government elections. He called on President Bola Tinubu and security agencies to apprehend the perpetrators.
In response, State Chairman Sunny Wokekoro expressed resolve, declaring the APP will not be deterred by the bombing. He noted the attack has reinforced their commitment to effect change in Rivers State, pointing out that the APP is gaining momentum while criticizing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Commending the prompt response of the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, Wokekoro emphasized the importance of security. Disu assured a thorough investigation, underscoring the need for vigilance and safety in the wake of the incident.
