Ukrainian heavy armor destroyed in Kursk Region – MOD reveals (VIDEO)

A Russian Lancet drone successfully destroyed a Ukrainian tank in Kursk Region, near the border, as confirmed by the Defense Ministry. The kamikaze drone struck the Soviet-era tank, adding it to the “scrap metal register” on the Russian border. The ministry released video footage of the strike, showing the tank being hit in its engine compartment, catching fire, and eventually exploding.

The tank was identified as a T-80, a design used by both Ukraine and Russia. In addition to the tank, Russian forces also eliminated five other Ukrainian armored vehicles and around 20 service members during the fighting in the region. This incident follows Ukraine’s large-scale assault on Kursk Region, characterized as the largest cross-border incursion into a Russian border region since the conflict began.

While initial reports suggested Ukrainian forces made gains, the Russian military halted the advance and began sending reinforcements. Moscow has accused Ukraine of provocations and targeting civilians, while Ukrainian officials claim the incursion aimed to gain leverage in negotiations with Russia. The conflict has resulted in significant casualties and vehicle losses for Ukraine.
