During a government program, officials from the Afghan Ministry highlighted the pressing issue of refugees and internal displacements in the country. With 7 million refugees in foreign countries and 3 million displacements within Afghanistan, the scale of the problem is immense.
The ministry is actively working to address these challenges by providing support to Afghan migrants and returnees. Through strategic partnerships and Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with various organizations, agencies, and educational institutions, the ministry is able to offer assistance to those in need.
Over 788,000 Afghan internally displaced and returned families have already received help in the form of financial aid, foodstuffs, and non-foodstuffs. This commendable effort is made possible through collaboration with international aid organizations.
