The brave officer led his troops courageously, eliminating four terrorists before succumbing to his injuries at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH). The PM expressed solidarity with the martyred officer’s family and emphasized the government’s determination to eradicate terrorism from Pakistan.
ISPR confirmed the exchange of fire that led to Lieutenant Malik’s martyrdom and highlighted the ongoing struggle against extremist groups in the country. The military recently identified the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) as “Fitna al-Khawarij,” denouncing their actions as antithetical to the values of Islam and Pakistan.
A security report revealed a concerning surge in violence-related fatalities and injuries in 2023, with KP and Balochistan being the main targets of terrorist attacks. Despite the challenges, security forces continue to neutralize threats and protect the nation from harm.
