Hamas demands UN Security Council meeting after Israel massacres school

Hamas Condemns Israeli Bombing of Gaza School Sheltering Displaced Palestinians

In a recent interview with Al Jazeera Arabic, Khalil al-Hayya, the deputy chief of Hamas, criticized Israel for bombing a school in Gaza City that was serving as a shelter for displaced Palestinians. The attack resulted in over a hundred deaths and numerous injuries. Al-Hayya called on the UN Security Council to take urgent action to stop Israel’s massacres of innocent civilians. He emphasized that the Israeli regime is escalating its genocidal war against Palestinians with the approval of the United States.

Al-Hayya also urged Arab and Islamic nations, as well as the international community, to hold Israel accountable for its actions and prevent further bloodshed. The Hamas official emphasized that their resistance is aimed at defending the Palestinian people by all means necessary. This latest attack on the school during dawn prayer further demonstrates Israel’s disregard for civilian lives.

Since October 7, Israel’s brutal offensive on Gaza has claimed the lives of nearly 40,000 Palestinians, with countless more injured and displaced. The Gaza Strip is facing a humanitarian crisis as vital resources like fuel, electricity, food, and water are being cut off by the occupying regime. It is crucial for the world to condemn these atrocities and support efforts to end the violence in Gaza.
