Empowering the youths is the priority of Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State, as he emphasized that government contracts should benefit the youth, not the state officials. During a Church Service at the Government House Chapel, the governor applauded the youths for not participating in a planned protest, urging officials to take this support seriously.
He called on Local Government Chairmen and Coordinators to execute projects worth millions monthly to impact their communities positively. Governor Nwifuru warned against sabotaging government contracts and encouraged town unions to oversee projects according to government standards.
Addressing the officials, he challenged them to be more involved in rural development, reminding them of the responsibility to serve the people diligently. He urged chairmen and coordinators to prioritize the needs of the youths by investing in projects that benefit the community.
