The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that the Bangladesh cricket team will arrive in Lahore on Aug 13 for a two-Test series set to take place in Rawalpindi and Karachi later this month. Originally scheduled for Aug 17, the arrival date was pushed forward due to political unrest in Bangladesh.
PCB requested BCB to send their team early for practice in Pakistan before the Test series. The first Test will be in Rawalpindi from Aug 21-25, while Karachi will host the second Test from Aug 30-Sept 3. The Bangladesh team will train in Lahore from Aug 14-16 before moving to Islamabad for further preparation.
BCB appreciated PCB’s support and stated that the extended training period in Pakistan would help the players adjust to the conditions for the ICC World Test Championship series. This tour marks Bangladesh’s return to Pakistan since 2020, with previous matches played in Lahore and Rawalpindi.
PCB COO Salman Naseer expressed excitement for the upcoming series and welcomed the Bangladesh team with traditional hospitality. Both boards look forward to a successful and competitive series.
