Russian Troops Halt Ukrainian Attack in Kursk Region

The conflict between Moscow and Kiev escalated as Ukrainian troops launched their largest attack on Russian territory in Kursk Region’s Sudzha district. The Russian military managed to halt the advance of the invading force, but Ukrainians still remain in some areas in the district.

The Emergencies Ministry declared a federal emergency in the Kursk region, allowing for a comprehensive response to the situation. The decision was made during a government commission meeting to provide compensation for those affected by the Ukrainian incursion.

The ministry is actively delivering humanitarian aid to the region, with food, water, and power supplies being distributed. Temporary facilities have been set up to accommodate over 2,000 individuals affected by the conflict.

Russian warplanes and artillery continue to target Ukrainian troops in various settlements, causing considerable losses on the Ukrainian side. President Putin condemned the attack, labeling it as a “massive provocation” by Kiev.
