Prisoner groups report 10,000 Palestine arrests in 80 chars

Israeli forces have arrested over 10,000 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank since the start of the war on Gaza in October, according to Palestinian prisoner groups. The arrests, which included women, children, and former prisoners, occurred in response to violent attacks, vandalism, and property destruction by Israeli forces.

The situation in the West Bank is dire, with ongoing violations against Palestinians. Thousands have been arrested in Gaza as well, with no information disclosed about their whereabouts. Since October, 620 Palestinians have been killed and over 5,400 wounded in the West Bank.

Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have condemned Israel’s actions, with the latter stating that Israeli forces have unlawfully used lethal force against Palestinians. The lack of accountability for these killings is alarming, with no repercussions for the perpetrators.

The aggressive tactics by Israeli forces continue to escalate, leaving Palestinians vulnerable and living in fear. The international community must take action to address the human rights violations occurring in the occupied territories.
