Pakistani Prime Minister prioritizes increasing trade with Türkiye to B

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is focused on increasing trade with Turkey, aiming to reach a volume of $5 billion annually. In a meeting with a Turkish investors delegation led by Trade and Customs Minister Omer Bolat in Islamabad, Sharif emphasized the strong historical and fraternal ties between the two nations.

Sharif welcomed the delegation and urged Pakistani authorities to facilitate their investments in the country, highlighting his government’s commitment to boosting trade relations with Turkey. He mentioned an agreement with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to raise the trade volume to $5 billion.

Additionally, Sharif extended an invitation to President Erdogan to visit Pakistan, expressing the anticipation of the Pakistani people for his visit. The statement revealed that 54 Turkish companies currently have investments totaling $3.5 billion in Pakistan.
