The Embassy of the United States of America called out President Milorad Dodik of Republika Srpska, questioning his priorities of self-enrichment over community development. The Embassy expressed disappointment that Dodik pressured municipalities to withdraw from American aid programs, causing them to miss out on benefits like jobs and improved infrastructure.
Despite this, the USA continues to invest $14.1 million in helping BiH municipalities enhance services and attract investments and jobs, leveraging the Bosnian diaspora through initiatives like ‘Diaspora Invest’. This program has already brought $69 million in investments and 2,800 jobs to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Embassy emphasized that all BiH municipalities have the opportunity to take part in these programs, with 30 from the Federation of BiH and ten from the RS currently involved. The post ended with a clear message – “We know where the money is”.
