Azerbaijan’s Anti-Corruption Commission meets.

Commission of Azerbaijan on Combatting Corruption Holds Meeting

The Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Combatting Corruption, chaired by Samir Nuriyev, recently convened for a meeting to address key responsibilities in achieving goals set by President Ilham Aliyev in tackling corruption.

Nuriyev emphasized the efforts in increasing efficiency, transparency, and combatting corruption in state governance, highlighting reforms aimed at creating a transparent and fair management system. Digitilization of public services and electronic proceedings have enhanced accessibility and transparency of state bodies.

The meeting also delved into international cooperation in combating corruption, focusing on recommendations from organizations such as GRECO, OECD, MONEYVAL. The Commission appointed a new secretary and renewed the composition of delegation and government experts representing Azerbaijan in these organizations.

Additionally, working groups under the Commission were refreshed and two new groups were formed to further enhance anti-corruption efforts.
